CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:  Permanent, Contingent Upon Funding

WORK HOURS:  Variable schedule and hours, must be willing to work weekends

TRAVEL: Occasionally for training purposes

SALARY:  $10.50-$12 per hour, based on qualifications


  • Provides direct resident services using the trauma-informed model

  • Supports Residents with Navigating local resources

  • Monitors and Answers the 24-hour Crisis Hotline

  • Ensures a safe and welcoming shelter environment

  • Transports residents to and from appointments, school and other approved destination

  • Mediates resident conflict, when necessary

  • Assists kitchen personnel as necessary

  • Completes cleaning duties – sweeping and mopping, preparing rooms for residents

  • Maintains the highest level of ethical integrity and respect towards clientele and colleagues

  • Understands, Accepts, Implements and Promotes La Casa, Inc.’s Mission Statement, Program Goals, Vision and Objectives

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma/GED 

  • 1+ year experience in a helping profession

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a +

  • 25 and over with clean driving record and CPR certification preferred

  • Warm, empathic, and non-judgmental with demonstrated ability to maintain healthy boundaries with residents and employees

  • Able to exercise independent judgment within scope of authority

  • Survivors that meet the requirements and qualifications are encouraged to apply.
