CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:  Permanent, Contingent Upon Funding

WORK HOURS:  Full-time, As assigned, Variable up to 40 hours per week, must be willing to work weekends

REPORTS TO:  Residential Services Director

TRAVEL: Occasionally for training purpose

SALARY:  $10.50-$12.00 per hour + Benefits, based on qualifications


  • Provides direct resident services using the trauma-informed model

  • Monitors and Answers the 24-hour Crisis Hotline

  • Provides crisis intervention, support and referral

  • Supervises and Ensures a safe and welcoming shelter environment

  • Distributes food, clothing, personal and cleaning supplies, as necessary

  • Ensures safe and welcoming shelter environments

  • Reports promptly all safety and maintenance-related concerns

  • Transports residents to and from appointments, school and other approved destination

  • Mediates resident conflict, when necessary

  • Completes cleaning duties – sweeping and mopping, preparing rooms for residents

  • Assists kitchen personnel as necessary

  • Attends shelter staff meetings and agency trainings

  • Understands, implements, and promotes La Casa, Inc’s mission, vision, and goals

  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma/GED 
  • 1+ years experience in a helping profession
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a +
  • 25 and over with clean driving record and CPR certification
  • Selected applicant must clear background and drug testing and have a clean driving record.
  • Warm, empathic, and non-judgmental with demonstrated ability to maintain healthy boundaries with residents
    and employees
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment within scope of authority
