CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:  Permanent, Full-time

WORK HOURS:  Full-time, as needed, includes at least one weekend per month and several overnights; must be flexible 

REPORTS TO:  Residential Services Director

SUPERVISES: Kitchen and Maintenance Staff; Residential Advocates and Case Managers in the absence of the RSD.

SALARY:   Salary Range 32-40K per annum + benefits; commensurate with experience and education. 

Responsibilities

  •  Leads projects, as assigned 
  • Provides guidance to Residential Advocates 
  • Provides crisis intervention overnight, on weekends, and outside of 9-5 hours, as assigned 
  • Provides direct resident services using the trauma-informed model 
  • Supports residents with navigating local resources 
  • Monitors and answers the 24-hour Crisis Hotline 
  • Provides crisis intervention, support, and referral 
  • Ensures a safe and welcoming shelter environment 
  •  Distributes food, clothing, and personal items
  • Supervise maintenance personnel
  • Transports residents to and from appointments, school and other approved destination
  • Develops timelines for projects and works collaboratively with maintenance personnel to prioritize work
  • Works collaboratively with maintenance personnel to order parts, get quotes and manage supplies
  • Organizes and follows-up on work orders
  • Assists with cleaning and shelter maintenance as needed
  • Reviews kitchen policies and procedures on a regular basis to ensure they are trauma-informed and meet funder guidelines
  • Ensures the timely and accurate completion of grant reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; a combination of education and experience to equal 3 years accepted
  • Two years related experience in a helping profession with domestic violence or residential services experience can substitute for degree requirement
  • 25 and over with a clean driving record and CPR certification
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Warm, empathic, and non-judgmental with demonstrated ability to maintain healthy boundaries with clients and personnel
  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality
